JAMMU, July 25: Bagh-e-Bahu Police arrested five accused along with stolen items.
As per police sources, on July 19 this year, a complaint was lodged by a man namely Ram Chander, son of Kishori Lal of Uttar Pardesh with Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu stating that two unidentified persons forcibly snatched a ladies purse having Rs 26000 cash, Aadhar Card, ATM card and silver ornaments of ladies.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 68/2022 under section 382 IPC was registered at Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu led by SHO Inspector Sikander Singh Chouhan and assisted by ASI Zabir Ahmed and Incharge Police Post Bahu Fort Temple ASI Ravinder Bhushan was constituted under the supervision of SDPO City East Sayed Zaheer Abbas Jafri and SP City South Mamta Sharma.
The team put in hectic efforts and finally arrested two snatchers, who were identified as Talib Hussian and Saif Ali, both residents of Masjid Mohalla Bahu Fort District Jammu.
On their disclosure, snatched Rs 26000 cash and other items were recovered.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu also solved a theft case by arresting three accused along with stolen items.
Police sources informed that on July 12 this year, a complaint was received from Pawan Sharma JE Brahma Engineer Smart City Project alleging that decorative lights along with cable installed at Bahu Fort have been stolen by some unknown person.
On this information, a case under FIR Number 65/2022 under section 379 IPC was registered at Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu and investigation started.
To work out the case, a team from Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu led by SHO Inspector Sikander Singh Chouhan and assisted by PSI Ahsin Khan and Incharge Police Post Bahu Fort Temple ASI Ravinder Bhushan was constituted under the supervision of SDPO City East Sayed Zaheer Abbas Jafri and SP City South Mamta Sharma.
During investigation with the help of CCTV cameras footages, the team rounded up three suspects namely Tabeer Ahmed, son of Ali Ahmed, Mohd Zubair, son of Ali Mohd and Mohd Ul Hassan, son of Mehmood Abdul, all residents of Myanmar, at present Burma Basti Near Kargil Colony Karyani Talab Narwal Bala District Jammu.
During sustained questioning, they confessed of committing the theft and on their disclosure 5 stolen lights and some cable were recovered from scrap dealer.
Further investigation into the cases is going on.
