Srinagar, Oct 22: Acting tough against the persons involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, police today seized 6 vehicles and arrested 5 persons in Baramulla.
As per police, SHO PS Tangmarg and Incharge PP Palhallan under the supervision of SDPO Pattan and SDPO Tangmarg seized 6 vehicles, 5 tractors and an Excavator, and arrested 5 persons involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals at Kulhama Tangmarg & New Colony Palhallan.
“The accused drivers have been identified as Javid Ahmad Tantray son of Ghulam Mohammad Tantray resident of Sherpora Pattan, Mehraj Din Ganaie Son of Abdul Gani Ganaie resident of Burran Pattan, Imtiyaz Ahmad Miyan Son of Mohammad Afzal Miyan resident of Buran Pattan, Ishfaq Ahmad Sheikh son of Gh Ahmad, Kaisar Ahmad Sheikh son of Mohd Subhan both residents of Check Ferozpora Tangmarg,” police said.
Accordingly, as per police, cases under relevant sections of law have been registered at respective police stations and further investigation has been initiated.
