JAMMU, May 21: Bishnah and Gangyal Police arrested five persons for violating lockdown amid COVID-19 pandemic.
As per police sources, during patrolling a team from Bishnah Police Station found a shop on the name and title M/s Bhatia Karyana functional and arrested its owner for violating DM Jammu amid COVID-19 pandemic.
Meanwhile, two persons namely Sanjeev Kumar, son of Tarsem Lal of Ward Number 2, Bishnah and Jung Bhadur, son of Padda Ram of Ward Number 2 were arresting as they were doing business of selling fruits and vegetables by violating DM Jammu’s orders.
Cases under FIR Numbers 83/2020 and 84/2020 under section 188 IPC has been registered at Police Station Bishnah and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bishnah Inspector Deepak Pathania made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan, SP Headquarters Jammu Adil Hamid and SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil.
Meanwhile, on specific information, a team from Gangyal Police Station led by SHO Inspector Sunil Singh Jasrotia arrested owner and driver of a bus, who gathered labourers at Gangyal Chowk for transporting them to their native place out of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The arrested persons were identified as Jeet Singh, son of Babu Ram of Jeewan Nagar District Jammu and Ashok Kumar, son of Raj Kumar of Pindi Sarochan, Arnia District Jammu.
The bus bearing registration number JK02CA-8383 in which the labourers were about to be transported has also been seized.
A case under FIR Number 75/2020 under section 188 and 269 IPC and 3 EDA has been registered at Police Station Gangyal and investigation started.
