JAMMU, Mar 4: Five absconders which were wanted by Bagh-e-Bahu police today surrendered before the court.
According to a police official, five people namely Gulzar alias Gogar son of Massu, Bashir Ahmed son of Mahwalli of Kathua, Mumtaz Ali son of Haji Nizam Din of Reasi, Ishtiyaq Ahmed son of Mohd Sharief of Anantnag and Mohd Sharief son of Mahwalli of (Anantnag) were evading arrest in a case FIR number 29/2015 under Sections 451/323/147/148 RPC since long.
“Against the accused warrant u/s 512 CrPC was issued by the court of Sub Judge Judicial Magistrate Jammu and today they surrendered before the court,” he said, adding, it become possible only after a team of police station Bagh-e-Bahu headed by SHO Inspector Sunil Sharma under the supervision of SDPO East Bikram Kumar, SP South Vinay Kumar and SSP Jammu Sridhar Patil requested the court to initiate proceeding u/s 87/88 CrPC against the accused.
