REASI, June 9: Police today foiled three separate attempts of bovine smuggling under the jurisdiction of Mahore Police Station and rescued 49 bovines besides arresting three smugglers.
Reports said that team of Police Station Mahore laid a surprise naka at Bhal, Mahore Area and intercepted one person namely Abdul Hamied son of Sharief Shah of Kanthi, Tehsil Arnas who was smuggling eight bovines. Police rescued all the bovine animals and arrested the accused.
Team of Police Station Mahore foiled another bid of bovine smuggling at Banda Nar and arrested the accused, namely Javaid Shah, son of Mohd Shafi, resident of Bharnali Thuroo, who was moving towards Kashmir along with 10 bovines. In this regards, a case FIR number 55/2023 U/S 188 IPC has been registered.
Big success was achieved by Police team of SPP Khour, which intercepted one bovine smuggler namely Amjad Ali son of Haji Mohd Sadiq, resident of Anantnag and rescued 31 bovines from his possession. In this regard, a case FIR number 56/2023 U/S 188 IPC has been registered at Police Station Mahore and accused was arrested.
