POONCH, Apr 21: Jamia Zia Uloom Poonch, an Islamic seminary organised 45th annual conference in which large number of people from across the Pir Panjal participated.
Maulana Mehmood Asad Madni, General Secretary of Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind and former Member Parliament was the chief guest on the occasion.
In his short tour to Poonch, Maulana Madni first visited Jamia Zia Ul Uloom High School where he interacted with the students and asked them to be aware of their goals and responsibilities. He also congratulated Maulana Ghulam Qadir, Chief Patron of Jamia Zia Ul Uloom Group of Institutions for best of their efforts in providing quality education to the students of remote areas and distressed families.
Maulana Madni also had a session with the civil society of Poonch including members of Poonch Bar Council wherein he was apprised about the instrumental role being played by Jamia Zia Ul Uloom in maintaining communal harmony and spreading awareness and education in entire Pir Panjal region.
After Maghrib, Maulana Madni addressed the huge gathering in which he focused on various current issues. He emphasized on the need to have a respectful attitude towards other communities and believers, so that a conducive, tolerant and accommodative society can be built.
On the other hand, Maulana Yahya Noomani also spoke about present crisis in family system and remedies.
Maulana Sayeed A Habib, Naib Mohtamim Jamia Zia Ul Uloom, Jamia Tut Tayibaat delivered introductory lecture.
It’s pertinent to mention here that all the heads of the local Madarsas were present on the occasion beside various other prominent personalities of the region.
