43 civilians exchange sides in weekly ‘Peace Bus’ in Poonch

JAMMU:
As many as 43 civilians today exchanged sides in a weekly Poonch-Rawlakote bus service via Chakkan-da-Bagh along the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
“In total 43 civilians comprising four fresh Indian citizens and 23 fresh citizens of Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir exchanged sides,” an official here said.
He said that from this side of the border four fresh Indian Citizens alongwith 10 PoK returnees boarded the bus.    “From the other side, fresh 23 PoK citizens reached here and six Indian citizens returned back to their homes after completing their stipulated stay across,” he added.    He further said that the gate was opened at 1345 hrs and closed at 1352 hrs.
Senior police and administrative officials were also present on the occasion.
