GST opposition

Sir,
It is learnt that the state of Jammu and Kashmir is not in favour of implementing the much beneficial GST system of taxes . It makes no logical argument that a state whose coffers are dry and revenue receipts are virtually dried up as a fall out of stone pelting violence in the Valley and it is only Jammu followed by Ladakh that revenues go the Government that  it should cite constitutional or other procedural reasons for its non implementation. . A uniform tax rate across the country was long desired and now when most of the states have given their approval why should our state be an exception. The state has been given a huge developmental package of Rs. 80000 crores by the centre , it is least expected that there should be any reservations on it. we feel really bad that two of our martyrs of Pakistani Uri attack have yet to get any compensation amount from the Government , even daily wagers and many Government employees do not get their wages and salaries for months together such being the funds position of the Government  Under these circumstances, good sense is required to be applied to the whole issue.
Yours etc…..
