Akhnoor, Apr 15: Akhnoor police while intensifying actions against modified motor cycles have seized 42 Silencers.
The drive was focused to target two wheelers with modified Silencers and Pathaka making sounds. The sudden loud sounds of these modified silencers was reason for discomfort to many especially the senior citizens.
The modified Silencers, 42 in numbers, were disassembled and bikes were released after putting on original silencers and a word of caution for riders also by police team of police station Akhnoor headed by SHO Akhnoor Tariq Ahmed.
Akhnoor police has a very firm and clear message for riders with modified Silencers that Owning a bullet motorcycle is a blessing and modifying its Silencers is a legal curse and people are advised to choose the blessing part only, SDPO Akhnoor Mohan Sharma said.
The society especially the senior citizens have appreciated the drive and expressed their satisfaction.
The drive shall be consistent in the days to come, Sharma said.
