42 new cases in J&K, 11 in Ladakh

JAMMU/SRINAGAR/ LEH, Feb 28: Jammu and Kashmir today reported 42 COVID positive cases while the UT of Ladakh recorded 11, all in Leh district.
Twenty two cases were registered in Jammu division and 20 in Kashmir.
Jammu district reported 11 cases, Doda and Poonch three each, Udhampur and Kathua two each and Ramban one.
Rajouri, Samba, Kishtwar and Reasi districts didn’t report any cases.
Daily recoveries today were 51 which brought down number of active positive cases to 421.
Among active cases, the highest 175 are in Jammu district followed by 142 in Doda, 31 Kathua, 19 Ramban, 15 Poonch, 13 Samba, nine Udhampur, eight Kishtwar, six Rajouri and three in Reasi district.
There have been 2325 Corona casualties in Jammu region so far, the highest 1222 being in Jammu district, 249 Rajouri, 166 Kathua, 147 Udhampur, 144 Doda, 125 Samba, 110 Poonch, 69 Ramban, 48 Reasi and 45 in Kishtwar district.
Meanwhile, the UT of Ladakh today reported 11 COVID positive cases, all in Leh district.
Kargil district didn’t report any fresh positives.
Ladakh now has 166 active positive cases including 159 in Leh and seven in Kargil district.
Meanwhile, Kashmir today reported 20 fresh cases of COVID-19.
Those who tested positive include 6 from Srinagar, 6 from Baramulla, 3 from Budgam, 2 from Kupwara, 1 from Bandipora and 2 from Kulgam.
With the fresh cases, the number of cases in Kashmir division has reached 287,051 including 284,367 recoveries and 2,423 deaths.
The number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 682 including 261 from Kashmir division.
With 148 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 447,567 which is 98.80 percent of the total cases.
