Army Commander visits Tiger Div, compliments troops for maintaining high state of vigil

JAMMU : Army Commander Western Command Lt Gen KJ Singh today visited Tiger Division and complimented the troops in successfully maintaining the high State of vigil during in interaction with officials.
“On their arrival the Army Commander accompanied by his wife Mrs Anita Singh, Regional President, Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA), Western Command were received by Major General SK Sharma and Mrs Nandini Sharma, said Defemce Spokesperson Jammu Lt Col Manish Mehta here today.
“During his visit, the Army Commander interacted with the Officers, Junior Commissioned Officers of Tiger Division and sensitized them on the security related issues, he added.
“Speaking on the occasion Commander Lt Gen Singh stressed on mental robustness and combat readiness, Col Mehta said, adding, “he exhorted all ranks to avail the various welfare schemes introduced in the Command Theatre. He complimented the troops in successfully maintaining the high state of vigil.”
Col Mehta also mentioned that the General Officer also had taken stock of the situation in Kathua, Samba and Jammu during his visit to state recently where he had interacted with the senior officials of the Air Force, CRPF and BSF.
The Army Commander exhorted all agencies to ensure that there is no untoward incident especially during the ongoing Shri Amarnath Yatra and also had stressed on the requirement to further refine the coordinated response of the security forces against possible terrorist strikes. Meantime Mrs Anita Singh accompanied by Mrs Nandini Sharma met all the ladies of the station and enquired about the various AWWA activities, projects. (AGENCIES)
