KAKINADA: More than 40 passengers, all tribals feared drowned in river Godavari when a boat with 60 passengers on its way from Devipatnam to Kondamodalu, capsized between Mantur-Vadapalli on West Godavari side on Tuesday evening.
Being the weekly shandy day, the boat was over crowded with the tribals buying their household needs at Devipatnam and returning to their habitations situated along the down stream of the river. Due to sudden gales and whirl wind pools the boat lost balance and tilted one side and capsized. (AGENCIES)
