4 vehicles with 24 bovines seized

RAJOURI, July 25: The police seized four vehicles  loaded with 24  bovine animals  and foiled two bovine smuggling attempts in Thannamandi and Kalakote area of Rajouri last night.
Official sources said that  Thannamandi police during naka at upper bridge in the town last night, intercepted two Tata Mobile vehicles bearing registration  numbers, JK11B-4395 and JK11B-6436  and found 14 bovine animals loaded in them. While one of the drivers,  was nabbed  by cops, the other one managed to escape from the spot taking cover of darkness.
The vehicles were on way to Kashmir via Mughal Road. The arrested accused was identified as Nazir Hussain, son of Noor Mohd, resident of Rajouri.
During yet another nakka near Patrara in Kalakote area, the police party led by SHO Kalakote Mustaj Hussain, intercepted two Tata Mobile vehicles bearing registration numbers- JK11/4726 and JK11/4668 and seized ten bovine animals last night. The drivers of the vehicles, however, managed to escape from the spot. The police has registered cases in this connection.
