4 tourists, driver killed

Srinagar, Dec 5: A local driver and four Keralite tourists died after a vehicle they were travelling in rolled down into a deep gorge at Zojila Pass in Ganderbal district today.
The vehicle was on its way to Sonamarg and when it reached Panimath, it skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge.

An official said that the driver of the vehicle bearing Reg No JK04B 5801 lost his control and fell into a deep gorge at Panimath near Zojila Pass.
He said that a local driver and four tourists died in the accident. The slain driver has been identified as Aijaz Ahmed Awan, a resident of Satrina, Kangan, Ganderbal.
The tourists who died have been identified as Sudesh son of Sundaran of Chittur district Pallackad Kerala, Anil son of Rajinder of Chittur Pallackad Kerala, Rahul son of Krishna of Chittur Kerala, and Vignash son of Shewam of Chittur district Pallackad Kerala.
The injured have been identified as Manooj son of Mahadev of Chittur District Pallackad Kerala, Arun son of Karuposomi of Chittur Pallackad Kerala and Rajaesh son of Krishnai of Chittur district Pallackad Kerala.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and set the investigation into motion.
