4 OGWs arrested in Pulwama

Srinagar, Sept 12: Four Over Ground Workers of militants were arrested in Pulwama district of South Kashmir today while police conducted raids at several locations in Srinagar and Baramulla in militancy funding case.
Police today arrested three persons allegedly for their role in pasting posters and displaying banners of militants in Pampore town of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
A police official said that with the assistance of 50 Rashtriya Rifles of Army three persons were arrested for “glorifying militancy by means of posters and displaying banners in Pampore town.”
“The posters/banners were seized by police and case FIR number 75/2020 under relevant Sections of law was registered in Police Station Pampore”, the official said.
They have been identified as Nadeem Ahmad Dar, resident of Dranbal Pampore, Irshad Ahmad Sofi resident of Tulbagh Pampore and Shakir Ahmad Dar of Jalalabad Sopore Baramulla. A Computer system along with accessories have been seized from a printing press under the name and title “Rampage Advertising Agency Rengreth Srinagar”.
Police also arrested a militant associate of Gazwat- ul- Hind in Tral area of South Kashmir’s Awantipora in district Pulwama today.
Police said that security forces arrested militant associate of outfit Ansar Gazwat-ul-Hind (AuGH) involved in providing shelter, logistics and other support to the AuGH militants as well as in transporting of arms/ ammunition of the militants in Tral area.
He has been identified as Adil Ahmad Hajam resident of Ratsuna Tral. “Incriminating material has been recovered from him which has been seized for the record purpose”, Police said.
A case (FIR number 72/2020) was registered against the Hajam in Police Station Tral under relevant Sections of law.
In the meantime, special wing of police conducted raids at several locations in Srinagar and Baramulla in militancy funding case.
Police this morning raided the residential house of a doctor in North Kashmir’s Pallahan village of Baramulla district.
The raid was carried out and searches were conducted at the residence of Hakeem Ghulam Mohi-ud-din, son of Muhammad Ramzan at Raipora area of Palhallan.
Hakeem is doctor by profession and his son is running a medical shop in the area. Police seized some documents from the house during the raid.
The raids were also conducted at several locations in Srinagar in militancy funding case during which documents were seized.
