UDHAMPUR, Dec 27: Udhampur Police arrested four notorious drug peddlers and recovered contraband substances from them.
The accused drug peddlers, identified as Rakesh Kumar, son of Mohan Lal of Kambal Danga, Udhampur, Ashish Nargotra son of Arvind Nargotra of Ward number 10 Udhampur, Abhinandan Khajuria, son of Davinder Kumar of Inder Nagar, Udhampur and Darminder Singh, son of Baldev Raj of Basht, Chenani, were travelling in a car, which was intercepted by Police patrolling party of Police Station Udhampur, headed by SHO Chaman Gorkha, under the supervision of Sahil Mahajan, DySP Hqrs Udhampur.
During thorough search, 10 grams of heroin like substance was recovered from the possession of the accused persons.
Police arrested the accused and also seized the car, bearing registration number JK14G- 3965. A case FIR 486/2021, under section 8/21/22, NDPS Act has been in this connection at PS Udhampur and further investigation of the case is going on.
