4 members of Gujjar family injured in group clash

KATHUA, Nov 10: Four members of a Gujjar family got injured in gun shot when a group of rival Gujjars attacked on a Gujjar family at village Korepunnu in Hiranagar Tehsil today. The injured Gujjar family members including three women are under going treatment in District Hospital Kathua. The condition of them is so far under control.
The relative of injured Gujjar family, Mohd Sadiq said that when the Gujjar family was coming from near by field on horse cart loaded with fodder suddenly a rival group of Gujjars led by Ali Mohd. Shiekha, Rana and Allu Gujjar equipped with domestic rifle, sharp edged weapon and lathis came in front of them and attacked them.
They opened fire on two women and other two were attacked with stones and lathis. A police team also reached on the spot and took both the groups to Police Station. The seriously injured three women and another person was shifted to Kathua District Hospital. The injured were identified as Ali Mohd, son of Sher Ali, his wife Asha Bibi, his cousin Rosha Bibi and Bibi Fatima. All are residents of Korepunnu, Hiranagar Tehsil. The police has started investigation into the matter.
