JAMMU, Dec 3: Four persons including a woman and a young girl today made abortive bids on their lives by consuming some poisonous substance at their respective residences in different parts of Jammu region.
According to police sources, a woman namely Pooja Devi (31) wife of Raj Kumar, resident of Goh Manhasa, today consumed some poisonous substance at her home following which she was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
Similarly, one young girl identified as Shikha daughter of Lazar, a resident of Bakshi Nagar, also consumed some poisonous substance at her residence. She was immediately shifted to GMCH by the family members.
In another case, Vijay Kumar (40) son of Bharat Singh, resident of Maan Chak (Jourian) falling under police station Jourian consumed some poisonous substance at his home after which he was shifted to GMCH for treatment.
Majid Bhatt (19) son of Abdul Bhatt, a resident of Bhaderwah (at present Khatikan Talab) also consumed some poisonous substance following which he was shifted to GMCH.
The condition of all the four persons was stated to be stable till the last reports came in. In all cases, the concerned police have taken cognizance of the matter and started investigations.
