RAMBAN, Oct 22: Four persons were injured when the Tata Sumo they were traveling in skidded off the road and plunged into gorge at Nachlana on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, today.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK03A-9298 was on its way from Banihal to Ramban, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it plunged into gorge at Nachlana on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
On getting information, a team from Banihal Police Station rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to Primary Health Centre (PHC) Ramsu, where two injured persons were discharged after treatment and two are still under treatment, when last reports came in.
The injured have been identified as Mohi-ud-Din, son of Sunaullah of Verinag, Omer of Verinag, Danish Iqbal, son of Mohammad Iqbal of Chamalwas Tehsil Banihal and Sadam Hussain, son of Mohammad Hussain of Chamalwas, Tehsil Banihal.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Ramsu Police Station and investigation started.
