4 injured as mini-bus turns turtle

JAMMU, Jan 16: Four passengers were injured when the minibus they were travelling in turned turtle at Kunjwani Chowk, here this morning.
According to a police spokesperson, a speeding mini-bus bearing registration No JK02BG-5487 was on its way from Bari Brahmana to Jammu when the driver lost control over the steering and the vehicle turned turtle near Kunjwani Chowk.
In the mishap, four passengers received minor injuries following which three of them identified as Lucky (25) son of Subhash Chander, a resident of Palli (Bishnah), Deepa Choudhary (54) wife of Girdhari Choudhary, a resident of Teli Basti (Bari Brahmana) and Harsharan Kour (26) wife of Ramnik Singh, a resident of Kotli Charka (Bishnah) were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu and later discharged after providing first-aid.
The fourth injured identified as Zahida Begum, daughter of Sher Mohd Khan of Bari Brahmana did not opt to go in a hospital in view of minor injuries.
The Gangyal police has registered a case FIR No 279/337 in this regard and seized the mini-bus while the driver and conductor of the vehicle are on large.
