POONCH, Jan 14: At least four persons were injured when a Tata Sumo vehicle skidded off the slippery road due to snowfall at Bhata Durian near Bhimber Gali in Mendhar area of district Poonch this afternoon.
The mishap took place when the vehicle was on way to Rajouri from Mendhar side. The road was slippery due to snowfall. As the driver applied brakes, the vehicle skidded off the road and fell down from a small Puli. Eight persons were on broad the vehicle.
An Army vehicle was moving in that area and the jawans rescued the injured and shifted them to Rajouri hospital. Four persons who sustained injuries were identified as Imtiaz Ahmed, son of Mumtaz Ahmed’; Altaf Ahmed, son of Mohd Shafi; Mohd Shokat, son of Mohd Nazir and Wahid Ahmed, son of Kamran, all residents of Khanetar Poonch, were admitted to DH Rajouri.
