KISHTWAR, July 23: Police today arrested 4 more notorious drug smugglers including 1 girl from different locations of the district and recovered 12 grams of heroin like substance from their possession.
“On getting specific information and leads from pervious information, Kishtwar Police established special nakas at different locations in its jurisdiction and arrested 4 drug peddlers with 12 grams of heroin,” a police spokesman said, adding, they were arrested in presence of 1st class magistrate.
He said the arrested persons were identified as Adil Hussain son of Abdul Latif and Mudasir Hussain son of Abdul Latief (both residents of Tangawri Semna Colony), Salman Sajjad Kandoo son of Sajjad Hussain of Umar Mohalla and Afia Tabassum daughter of Mohd Maqbool of Link Road Kishtwar.
“Accordingly, two separate cases under FIR numbers 178/2022 and 179/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Kishtwar and further investigation started,” the spokesman added.
