4 enggs posted in JK Guest Houses in violation of transfer policy

JAMMU, Feb 27: In blatant violation of Government’s transfer policy, the Roads and Buildings Department has allowed four engineers to serve in the JK Guest Houses situated at Chankayapuri and Prithviraj Road, New Delhi during the past several years.
In response to RTI application filed by Balvinder Singh, the R&B Department has said that Feroz Ahmed, Assistant Executive Engineer, Sanjeev Sadhu, Assistant Engineer, Jyotika Sambyal, Assistant Engineer and Shehla Ishtiyak, Junior Engineer have been posted in the Guest Houses for more than the maximum period prescribed under the transfer policy.
Feroz Ahmed, who joined as Junior Engineer in R&B Sub-Division New Delhi on June 24, 1997, was placed as Incharge Assistant Engineer on August 14, 2006 and Incharge Assistant Executive Engineer on June 25, 2009. Right from the date of his joining as JE, he continues to serve in New Delhi.
Similarly, Sanjeev Sadhu, who was transferred from Hydraulic Wing of R&B Department on August 10, 2004 along with the post and joined in Resident Commission New Delhi office as Junior Engineer, continues to serve at Union Capital despite his promotion as Incharge Assistant Engineer on January 25, 2011 at New Delhi.
Jyotika Sambyal, who joined as JE on August 14, 2007, is continuing to serve in PWD Sub-Division Resident Commission, New Delhi till date. Similarly, Shehla Ishtiyak, who joined as JE City Sub-Division New Delhi on August 24, 2008, is serving on the same post and at same place till date.
