4 elected unopposed as BBIA office bearers

JAMMU, May 15: Four office bearers were elected unopposed as office bearers of the Bari Brahman Industrial Association (BBIA) after withdrawal of nomination papers by three members today.
Total nine candidates had filed their nominations as per Election notification issued by the Bari Brahmana Industries Association on May 4, 2019.
A BBIA spokesman said that nine nomination paper have been received against the available post of six office bearers of the Association for which the scrutiny was done on May 15. All the nomination papers were found correct as per the Constitution.
After the withdrawal of nomination papers today in presence Election Commissioners, by Sudhir Kumar, Ram Langer and SS Wazir, four office bearers were declared elected unopposed. The election for remaining two posts of president and senior vice president will be held on May 25, 2019.
Sitting president, Lalit Mahajan and Rakesh Bhat are in fray for the post of BBIA president while for the post of senior vice president, Tarun Singhla and PS Jaggi are facing each other.
The candidates who were elected unopposed are- Ajay Langer vice president, Viraaj Malhotra general secretary, Rajesh Jain -secretary and Vivek Singhal as treasurer.
