HANDWARA, Feb 15: Minister for Consumer Affairs & Public Distribution and Transport, Choudhary Mohammad Ramzan today conducted a surprise visit to District Hospital Handwara to ensure regularity and punctuality of medical and para medical staff so that the people can be provided the medicare facilities.
During the inspection, as many as 23 officials including 4 doctors and 19 para medicals were found unauthorizedly absent from their duty.
Choudhary Ramzan instructed instantly the Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara to place the absentees under suspension. Consequently, Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara placed all the 23 officials under suspension.
The Chief Medical Officer, Kupwara was asked to charge sheet within five days so that action under rules be taken against the suspended employees.
