18 fresh cases in Ladakh

JAMMU/SRINAGAR/ LEH, Dec 19: Three Corona fatalities were reported in Jammu region today-two in Samba and one in Kathua district—while one person died of the virus in Valley and 301 positives cases were reported in J&K. As many as 465 persons recovered from the virus.
An 80-year-old-man hailing from village Smailpur and another 76-year-old from Sangar, both in Bari Brahamna area of Samba district died of co-morbidities and Coronavirus in the Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu and Military Hospital Satwari respectively today. A 48-year-old man from Chenab Textile Mills (CTM) Kathua died of ailments and pathogen in the GMC Kathua.
A 52-year-old woman from Bemina area of Srinagar died of COVID in a hospital.
Jammu region today reported 165 positive cases including 97 in Jammu district, 14 Kathua and 11 Ramban while in rest of the districts, the cases were in single digit. Among 184, who recovered from the virus in the region, 95 belonged to Jammu district.
Jammu region now has 48421 Corona cases. Of them, 1915 are active positives while 45834 have recovered from the virus and there have been 672 casualties, the maximum being 342 being in Jammu district.
In the Union Territory of Ladakh, 18 Corona cases were today reported, all in Leh district taking the UT’s tally to 9270. Of them, only 424 are active positives as 8722 have been treated.
There were 124 casualties in Ladakh including 81 in Leh and 43 in Kargil district.
Meanwhile, Srinagar district with 441 deaths topped in Corona casualties in Kashmir followed by Baramulla 170, Budgam 106, Pulwama 88, Kupwara 88, Anantnag 82, Bandipora 58, Kulgam 53, Ganderbal 42 and Shopian 37.
In Kashmir, 136 persons to day tested positive for the virus taking the number of positive cases in J&K to 118006.
Srinagar reported 61 cases, Baramulla 14, Budgam 11, Kupwara 7, Pulwama 14, Anantnag 14, Bandipora 10, Ganderbal 5, Kulgam 1 and Shopian 2.
With fresh cases, Srinagar has 24681 positive cases with 882 active, 23358 recovered, 441 deaths; Baramulla has 7821 positive cases with 176 active, 7475 recovered, 170 deaths; Pulwama reported 5406 positive cases with 195 active cases, 5123 recovered, 88 deaths; Kulgam has 2638 positive cases with 62 active, 2523 recoveries, 53 deaths; Shopian has 2446 positive cases with 80 active, 2329 recovered and 37 deaths; Anantnag district has 4739 positive cases with 152 active, 4505 recovered, 82 deaths; Budgam has 7412 positive cases with 225 active and 7081 recovered, 106 deaths; Kupwara has 5433 positive cases with 167 active, 5178 recovered, 88 deaths; Bandipora has 4602 positive cases with 99 active, 4445 recovered, 58 deaths and Ganderbal has 4407 positive cases with 123 active cases, 4242 recoveries and 42 deaths.
Moreover, 465 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals today including 281 from Kashmir division.
