JAMMU, Apr 29: A four -days long book fair and promotion of books programme which was organized by Kashyap Educational and Charitable Society in collaboration with National Book Trust (NBT) of India, Ministry of HRD Government of India concluded here today.
The NBT a Government of India publishing house publishing low cost books of science, arts, history, environment etc. The book fair was attended by a large number of students of different schools of different age groups who showed keen interest in the NBT publication.
The function was presided over by a spiritual Guru Swami Kumar Ji who spoke about the spiritual knowledge to develop the personality of youth for future of India. Others who spoke included A K Raina, Ex Director School Education, Jammu, Vijay Kashkari, vice president AIKS, Santosh Nadan, well known writer and poetess, Virender Kuchroo, general secretary BJP Displaced Unit, Ashok Bhat, Bansi Bhat, Vijay Raina, Satish Zutshi, Makhan Lal. The vote of thanks was proposed by AK Pandita.
The speakers spoke about the importance of book reading, history of NBT, participating in book exhibition etc.
