UDHAMPUR, Aug 20: Foiling an attempt of bovine smuggling, Udhampur Police today rescued four bovine animals and arrested two persons in this connection.
Police has also seized the Tata Mobile vehicle, in which the bovines were being smuggled to Kashmir Valley.
The vehicle, bearing registration number JK02AA-1265 was intercepted by Tikri Police during a routine patrolling. On through search of the vehicle, four bovine animals were found packed in it. Police rescued the animals and arrested the smugglers, who were identified as Riyaz Ahmed of Thilu Morh Mahore and Majed Ali of Jagti Jammu.
