Srinagar, May 12: Acting tough against the illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, police seized 4 vehicles and arrested 4 persons in Awantipora.
A police party under the supervision of SDPO Pampore, Imtiyaz Ahmad, assisted by SHO PS Pampore, arrested 3 persons and seized 3 vehicles (tippers) involved in the illegal extraction & transportation of minerals at Pampore.
Similarly, a police party of PP Reshipora arrested a person and seized a vehicle (tipper) involved in the illegal extraction & transportation of sand at Dogripora.
Accordingly, cases under relevant sections of the law have been registered in respective police stations and further investigations have been initiated.
