4 arrested for firing on shopkeeper

JAMMU, Jan 20: Miran Sahib Police arrested four persons for firing on a shopkeeper.
As per police sources, on January 9 this year, some miscreants opened fire on a ex-sarpanch Pirthipur and shopkeeper Ranjit Singh at his shop. However, in the incident, the shopkeeper escaped unhurt.
After getting information, a case under FIR Number 16/2021 under Section 307 IPC with Police Station Miran Sahib and investigation started. During the course of investigation, a team from Miran Sahib Police Station conducted raid in several areas of Jammu district and neighbouring states of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh.
On specific information, the team arrested the accused persons who were identified as Rakesh Kumar alias Ganda, Jasbir Singh, Ishan Sharma and Gopal Kumar alias Bawa. They have been arrested from Himachal Pradesh.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
