LEH, Feb 6: Organized by the 5th Bn of ITBP, the 3rd batch of Bharat Darshan Tour 2018-19 was flagged off yesterday at ITBP campus Leh.
The students’ tour is to be conducted from Leh to Bhubaneswar via Delhi, during which participants will visit various places of historical and cultural significance. The Bharat Darshan tour is aimed at to enhance the knowledge of participating students of border areas by introducing them with the cultural and social diversity of India.
On this occasion, J P Yadav, DIG SHQ (LDK), conveyed his best wishes to participating students for their upcoming tour. In this tour 17 students from Govt High School Igoo , two students from Govt High School Phyang, four students from Govt Middle School Fyang, two students from Govt Middle School Poktsa Igoo and four from Govt High School Basgo have been selected for participation along with Tsering Spalzes (teacher) Govt High School Fyang and Tsering Morup (teacher) from Govt High School Basgo. They will be accompanied by INSP Subhash Chandra Sharma and HC Ranjan Kr Singh of 5th Bn ITBP as supporting staff.
Parents of the students and distinguish personalities from Leh and adjoining areas are showering their praise for such innovative idea of ITBP and said that it is an act of integrating border population with the main land in better way.
