SRINAGAR: As many as 39 fresh guests from Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) arrived here today while no Kashmiri crossed over to the other side of the Line of Control (LoC) in the weekly Karvan-e-Aman bus, operating between Srinagar and Muzaffarabad.

“As many as 46 returnees also crossed sides at Kaman Post,” official sources told UNI this evening.        They said 39 residents of PoK, including 15 women and six children, arrived at Kaman Post after crossing the Aman Setu, peace bridge, on foot to meet their relatives, separated in 1947 due to partition. Four Kashmiris, who had gone to PoK, also returned to their homes after completing their stay on the other side of the LoC.

Meanwhile, no Kashmiris crossed over to the other side though 42 PoK residents, including 21 women and four children, who had arrived here in previous buses returned to their homes after completing their stay. Last week, the weekly-peace bus ‘Karvan-e-Aman’ was suspended in view of Eid-ul-Azha. (AGENCIES)
