38th meeting of governing body of SSH Kakryal held

JAMMU, Aug 3: The 38th meeting of the governing body of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Super Speciality Hospital (SSH), Kakryal, was held here under the chairmanship of Dr SS Bloeria, Member of Shrine Board and Chairman of the governing body of the Hospital.
The governing body reviewed present status and the arrangements being put in place for operationalising the PET CT Scanner at this Super Speciality tertiary care hospital by December 2017 and further strengthening of six streams (oncology, cardiology, nephrology, orthopaedics, neurology and gastroenterology) of the hospital to begin with by adding more consultants and putting in place the required hi-end equipments and other logistics.
Dr Bloeria emphasized the need for monitoring the progress on day to day basis vis-a-vis operationalising the PET CT Scanner in the hospital so that this facility is made available to the patients by December this year. He also underlined the need for strengthening the various streams and augmenting diagnostic and treatment facilities, wherever required, to provide the best possible patient care.
BB Vyas, Member Shrine Board and Chairman of the Finance and Audit Committee of the Hospital and AK Sahu, Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, both members of the governing body Dr Ashutosh Raghuvanshi, Vice Chairman, MD and Group CEO, NH and member of the governing body of the Hospital also participated in the meeting. Vyas participated in the deliberations through video conferencing.
Other matters that came up for discussion included provision of tele-medicine facility at the SSH Kakryal for the benefit of the people of remote and far-flung areas of the State, commencing of Robotic Surgery and Organ Transplant facility at this tertiary care hospital. To begin with, the hospital will commence tele-medicine facility with Leh and Poonch. The Medical Units of the Shrine Board on the track and in the Bhawan area are also being planned to be equipped with the tele-medicine facility to facilitate the visiting pilgrims.
The governing body also decided to put in place more ambulances in the Hospital for facilitation of the patients.
