Jammu and Kashmir is the only state in India where 'Darbar' (government offices of all departments) are shifted bi-annually between the two state capitals. The offices remain functional for six winter months in Jammu which is the winter capital of the state and again are shifted back to Srinagar which is state's summer capital during summers.
