JAMMU, Apr 25: A permanent Lok-Adalat was held at District Court Complex in which 14 cases of pre-litigation and post litigation were settled and an amount of Rs 26, 24, 932 was recovered from the borrowers/defaulters.
Additional Judge Bank Cases, Bala Jyoti was heading the bench and she was assisted by Sub-Judge Jammu SS Bali.
Similarly, Lok-Adalat was also held at District Court complex Bhaderwah under the chairmanship of MK Sharma, Principal District and Sessions Judge Bhaderwah in which two benches were constituted.
Out of 33 cases, 24 were decided and an award to the tune of Rs 3.5 lakh was passed. A composite fee of Rs 8400 was realized on spot and an amount of Rs 2.44 lakh was recovered in recovery case.
