JAMMU: Noted academician and former Vice-Chancellor of Jammu University Prof Amitabh Mattoo was today appointed Advisor to Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti.
“Prof Amitabh Mattoo, former Vice Chancellor of the University of Jammu, is hereby appointed as Advisor to the Chief Minister, with the status of a Cabinet Minister,” Gazzanfer Hussain, Commissioner-Secretary, General Administrative Department, said in an order here today.
Prof Mattoo was re-appointed as advisor to the State CM as he was also appointed Advisor to the then Chief Minister Mufti Mohmmad Sayeed in August last year but had to relinquish the post in wake of the Sayeed’s death. (AGENCIES)
