It is a matter of pride that District Anantnag in Kashmir has bagged Prime Minister’s Excellence Award for programme implementation in the category of “Swachh Vidyalaya” programme. The award is given to a district whose schools have shown a high degree of cleanliness and environmental hygiene. Prime Minister conferred awards for excellence in implementation of priority programmes on the occasion of Civil Services Day in New Delhi and the award for the district of Anantnag was received by the concerned Deputy Commissioner.
This award was given to respective recipients in the overall programme of Swachh Bharat, launched by the Prime Minister last year. We hope that awarding Anantnag will become a source of inspiration for other districts of the State also and in this way the wonderful programme for Swachh Bharat will be carried forward.
