Gur prices remain steady in thin trade

NEW DELHI, Apr 16:  Dull conditions persisted at the wholesale gur (Jaggery) market in the national capital today following sluggish demand.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets too displayed a steady on scattered deals.
Marketmen said selective demand against negligible supplies, kept gur prices steady.
Following are today’s rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 3,100-3,200, pedi Rs 3,300-3,400, dhayya Rs 3,500-3,600 and shakkar Rs 3,600-3,700.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,500-2,550, chakku Rs 2,675-3,025, khurpa Rs 2,750-2,825 and Ladoo Rs 2,850-3,050.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,000-3,050 and dhayya Rs 3,050-3,100. (PTI)
