366 missing mobile phones recovered

JAMMU, Nov 13: In its endeavour to redress the grievances of the general public, the Cyber Cell Jammu of J&K Police has traced and recovered 366 missing mobile phones worth lakhs of rupees.
Out of 366, 138 mobiles were traced and recovered and 228 mobiles were traced out and letters for the recovery to the concern police station have been issued, said SP Operations Sandeep Mehta, who is also supervising the operation of Cyber Cell Jammu.
In a function at Gandhi Nagar Police Station, the traced mobile phones were handed over to their actual users by SP Operations Sandeep Mehta.
It was emphasised during the meeting that people should approach cyber cell Jammu to redress the issues related to cyber crimes through their concerned police stations, as Cyber Cell Jammu is the Nodal agency to deal with the cyber issues and Cyber Crimes in Jammu Zone by providing technical assistance to various police units of Jammu province.
“This is the 6th initiative where a major recovery of missing mobiles has taken place in District Jammu. Earlier on July 7 this year, 412 missing mobiles were traced and recovered by Cyber Cell”, SP Operations said, adding that further investigation of mobile tracing is going on with concerned Police Stations.
The whole operation of mobile tracing has been done by a team of experts of Cyber Cell Jammu with the assistance of various telecom service providers in the State by Incharge Cyber Cell Jammu SI Gagandeep Singh under the guidance of SP Operations Sandeep Mehta and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
