JAMMU, Jan 25: Jammu and Kashmir today announced State Awards for 36 persons in different categories on the eve of Republic Day.
Late HC Abdul Majeed (Posthumously), has been selected for bravery award and is family will be given a cash award of Rs 1.00 Lakh and a citation.
Mohan Singh (Dogri Writer), Mansha Khaki (Gojri Writer), Inderjeet Kesar (Retd JKAS) (Dogri Writer) and Brij Nath Pandit ‘Betab’, have been selected for achievements in the field of literature. They will be given cash award of Rs 51,000 and a citation.
Gulzar Ganaie (Film/Television Actor), Kartar Chand (Pahari Singer), Pawan Verma, (Theatre Artist), Dr Kuldeep Raina (Actor/Director), Munir Ahmed Mir (vocalist and Music Composer), have been selected for achievements in the field of performing Arts. They will be given cash award of Rs 51,000 and a citation.
Neelam Rani (Basholi Pashmina Weaver), Sonam Jamwal (Basholi Painting), K K Gandhi (Art) and Riyaz Ahmad Khan (Art, Craft-Papier Mache) have been selected for achievements in the field of Arts and Crafts. They will be given cash award of Rs 51,000 and a citation.
J&K Bharat Scouts and Guides, Rohit Sharma (Shastri), Sandhya Dhar, C/o Jammu Institute of General Education and Rehabilitation, have been selected for achievements in the field of Social Reforms and Empowerment. They will be given cash award of Rs 51,000 and a citation.
Mandeep Kaur (IAS), Commissioner /Secretary to the Government, Housing and Urban Development Department and Rahul Singh (IFS), Additional Chief Executive Officer, Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board, have been selected for achievement in the field of meritorious Public Service. They will be given cash award of Rs 51,000 and a citation.
S P Varma has been selected for award for Lifetime achievement. He will be given cash award of Rs 51,000 and a citation.
Sheetal Devi (Para Archery), Falail Singh, HC (Mountaineer), Amir Ahmad Bhat (Para Shooting), Rakshinda Mehak (Deaf Judo), Abdul Salha Shergujri (Football), Villayat Hussain (Kayaking and Canoeing), Sajad Hussain Parray (Football), Suvidha Sarin (Roll Ball), Kryan Gupta (Roller skating) and Aneesha Sharma (Rifle Shooting), have been selected for achievements in the field of Outstanding Sports Persons. They will be given cash award of Rs 51,000 and a citation.
Faza Zainab, Editor in Chief, Asian News Hub, Sameer Bhatt, Chief Correspondent, News 18 Urdu, Gursimran Singh, Senior Correspondent, Republic TV, Danish Manzoor Bhat, Editor, South Asia. Newsweek Magazine, Ajay Jandiyal, Bureau Chief, News X, India News and Vishal Bharti, Bureau Head, UNI, Jammu, have been selected for achievements in the field of outstanding Media Persons. They will be given cash award of Rs 51,000 and a citation.
