SRINAGAR, Apr 30 : Thirty three people including son of a woman who died in Srinagar due to Coronavirus early this week tested positive for COVID-19 today taking the Jammu and Kashmir tally beyond 600.
The Jammu and Kashmir tally has gone up to 614 with the number of active cases 390-384 from Kashmir and 6 from Jammu.

Among the fresh cases, 13 were confirmed out of 594 samples at Viral Diagnostic Lab of SKIMS Soura and they include 11 from Baramulla and one each from Budgam and Shopian districts.
However, the bulk of the cases were confirmed at the COVID-19 testing laboratory at Chest Disease hospital Dalgate as 20 out of 542 samples processed in last 24 hours tested positive and include 12 from Anantnag district, four from Kulgam and two each from Srinagar and Pulwama.
The 12 fresh positive cases from Anantnag include 5-year-old girl, two women aged 42 and 55 years and a 40-year-old man from Char Mohalla Nowgam. Two men and equal number of women from Nowgam aged 60 and 37 years and 55 and 32 years respectively tested positive today. The village is one of the worst hit by Corona in the district.
A 10 year old boy and a 13-year-old girl from Pushroo area of the district tested positive today.
In Baramulla 11 people who tested positive today include 25-year-old woman from Nowpora in Sopore area and three men aged 20, 23, 49 and a 46-year-old woman from Naseembagh in Sopore area. Four men aged 32, 42, 43 and 46 from Hardchiloo in Tangmarg area and two women aged 32 from Sangerhama area of Baramulla also tested positive.
A 65 year old man and his 55 year old wife tested positive from Rajpora area of Pulwama today. The couple had a travel history of Saudi Arabia. They had returned from Umrah in February. The administration is tracing their contacts and they are being quarantined.
Srinagar reported two cases including the son of a woman from Rainawari who died of COVID-19 earlier this week and other is an 85-year-old man from Shahnoor Colony Hyderpora.
A 25-year-old man from Belaow area of Shopian and a 40-year old man from Ratsuna area of Budgam tested positive today and they are contacts of the previous patients.
With these fresh cases, Bandipora has now 127 COVID-19 positive cases, followed by 89 in Srinagar, 84 Baramulla, 83 Anantnag, 72 Shopian, 49  Kupwara, 19 Budgam, 15 Ganderbal,7 each in Kulgam and Pulwama.
So far 216 people have recovered and out of 70,000 persons who were enlisted for COVID-19 surveillance, over 50, 000 have completed the mandatory 28 days period of surveillance.
And the lockdown across Kashmir continued for the 43rd  day today with authorities acting tough against the violators of Government orders issued to prevent spread of Coronavirus.
Police and paramilitary troopers were deployed on roads and they had erected concertina wire to block the roads to prevent movement of people and vehicles.
Acting tough against the violators of Government prohibitory orders, Police in a series of actions have arrested 23 persons including two shopkeepers in Srinagar, Sopore and Kulgam besides, arrested a butcher for selling meat at exorbitant rates. Police have also seized 25 vehicles for defying Govt orders over COVID-19.
