JAMMU, June 9: About 320 kg of Lahan and 8 bottles of illicit liquor made from it were destroyed today by Excise department during raids conducted in Bishnah and RS Pura excise ranges.
The raids were conducted by excise team led by Inspector sub-Range RS Pura/Bishnah, Ritesh Gupta and Sub-Inspectors, Manjeet Singh, Parshant Mathur and Balwan Singh, on the direction of Excise Commissioner, Mohd Javed Khan and under the supervision of Deputy Excise Commissioner (executive), Jammu, Ghanshyam Singh.
The villages of Bishnah and RS Pura where raids were conducted include Kotli Mian Fateh, Kotli Charkan, Deoli, Makhanpur, Salehar, Dablehar, Tarachak, Kothey Bulande, Lalyana, Rehal, Kreil Manhasa, Kotla, Sheikhpura and Shibuchak.
