RAJOURI, Dec 26: The Police arrested a thief and recovered 32 stolen LPG cylinders from his possession in Rajouri town today.
Official sources said that on the basis of several public complaints regarding theft of their domestic LPG cylinders and some inputs, the police party headed by SHO Rajouri, Sameer Jillani picked up a suspect and placed him under sustained questioning. The accused broke and revealed about several LPG cylinder theft cases.
He has been identified as Javed Maqbool, son of Mohd Maqbool, resident of Ward No. 8, Rajouri. He was arrested and a case FIR No. 654/2020 was registered against him. 32 stolen cylinders were recovered from his possession.
