UDHAMPUR, Sept 26: Tikri Police today rescued 31 bovine animals and seized two trucks, in which these animals were being smuggled to Kashmir.
Based on reliable information, a Police party, led by SI. Sanjeet Sharma, IC PP Tikri, laid a surprise naka at Tikri in the wee hours of this morning and intercepted two Truck JK02AT-8175 and JK02AC-1619. 31 animals were rescued from these trucks.
While one of the two driver managed to give a slip to the Police party, the other one was arrested on the spot. He was identified as Firoz Din of Pooch.
In this regard, a case U/S 188/RPC 3 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Rehambal.
