JAMMU, Aug 28: With 30 more cases of dengue reported today, the total number of cases reported so far from various districts of Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 258.
A health official said that a total of 191 people were screened for dengue in Jammu out of which 30 turned out to be positive. He said 23 cases were reported from Jammu district, 5 from Rajouri and one each from Kathua and Samba districts. The positive patients include 24 adults and 6 children, he added.
He said the maximum 186 cases reported so far are from Jammu district followed by Kathua district with 27 and Samba 15. “There were six cases each in Rajouri and Reasi, four in Udhampur, three each in Poonch and Doda, one in Kishtwar, four in Kashmir and three from other parts of the country,” the official said.
He further informed that a total of 90 dengue patients have been admitted to the hospitals and of these, 66 have been discharged and 22 patients are undergoing treatment.
