RAJOURI, Aug 29: Thana Mandi police seized three vehicles loaded with 19 bovine animals being smuggled to Kashmir valley via Mughal Road from Rajouri area and arrested four persons in this connection.
Reports said a police party led by SHO Zakir Shaheen Mirza, under the supervision of SDPO Thana Mandi, Najib-ur-Rehman intercepted vehicles bearing registration numbers JK03B/9331, JK-22/4867 and JK-12/5913 near Dera Gali and found 19 bovine animals loaded in them during wee hours today. The police seized all the three vehicles along with animals and arrested the occupants.
They were identified as Khursheed Ahmed and Bashir Ahmed residents of Shopian, Mohd Akhtar of Surankote and Mehboob Rafiq from Bafliaz. A case was registered against them.
