SAMBA, Nov 12: Continuing its drive against illegal mining and illegal transportation of construction material, Samba police today seized three vehicles including a Tipper and two Tractor-Trolleys across the district, which were being used for illegal transportation of the construction material.
A police team of Police Station, Samba while performing patrolling duty in its jurisdictional area, intercepted two vehicles including a Tipper bearing Registration Number, JK21A-4774 & a tractor without Registration Number for illegal transportation of construction material from Basantar river bed Samba.
Similarly, police team of PS Purmandal while performing vehicle checking duty, intercepted a tractor bearing Registration Number JK21C-5686 for illegally transporting of construction material (Sand) from Devak river bed near village Khara Madana, Purmandal.
All the three vehicles intercepted by Samba police were seized on spot and cases entrusted to Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further action.
