JAMMU, May 27: Three persons received serious burn injuries, when the car they were traveling in, caught fire near Panjgrian area of Nagrota this evening.
As per police sources, a Wagon-R car bearing registration number JKO2BD-8144 caught fire near Panjgrian area of Nagrota this evening.
On seeing the flames emitting out of the car, locals rushed to the spot and pulled out the three occupants by breaking open the glasses of the vehicle.
After getting information, police team led by SDPO Nagrota Bharat Bhushan Sharma also reached the spot and shifted the injured to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where they were undergoing treatment and their condition was stated to be critical, when reports last came in.
The injured have been identified as Sharad Basan (27), son of Kishori Lal of Krishna Nagar, Mohit Mahajan (25), son of Subhash of Jhullaka Mohalla and Romit (23), son of Rashpal Singh of district Reasi.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered in this regard at Nagrota police station and investigation started to ascertain the reasons behind the incident.
