3 Punjab residents killed as car rolls down

JAMMU, May 6: Three persons hailing from Punjab were killed when the car they were travelling skidded off the road and plunged into gorge near Jambu Zoo on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway here today.
The ill-fated vehicle was on its way to Jammu from Udhampur when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it rolled down into deep gorge near Jambu Zoo on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, resulting into serious injuries to three persons.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and started rescue operation. All the injured persons were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors pronounced them as brought dead. Click here to watch video
The deceased were identified as Gurdeep Singh, son of Gurtej Singh of Moga Punjab, Sham Lal, son of Bhadur Ram and Vikas Kumar, son of Ranjit Kumar, both residents of Firozpur Punjab.
After conducting post-mortem, the bodies of the deceased were handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
A case under FIR Number 178/2022 under Sections 279 and 304-A IPC has been registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started.
