UDHAMPUR, July 22: Udhampur police arrested three narcotic smugglers from Jakhani and recovered 30 grams of contraband substance Heroin from their possession.
The accused, identified as Umer Jaan, son of Imam Din of Housing Colony Udhampur, Som Raj alias Shallu, son of Dewan Chand of Gairan Talab Udhampur and Mohd Rafiq, son of Baahir Ahmed of Chanunta, Ramnagar were travelling in a truck bearing registration number JK02BN/7797, which was stopped by a police party, led by SHO Udhampur Chaman Gorkha, during a naka at Jakhani.
In this connection, a case FIR number 266/2021 U/S 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Udhampur and further investigation is going on.
